Stress & burnout
When workload, pressure or prolonged strain begins to affect energy, sleep, motivation or capacity.
THE ASH WORKPLACE COUNSELLING SERVICE · UK-WIDE
Professionally governed, culturally attuned counselling for employees — with thoughtful matching based on therapeutic need, presenting concerns, experience required and counsellor availability.
THE ASH DIFFERENCE
Employers access The Ash Workplace Counselling Service as one professionally governed service, with each employee’s support considered individually.
We assess each employee and thoughtfully match them with appropriate support, taking account of their presenting concerns, therapeutic needs, the level of experience required and practical availability.
The result is a workplace counselling offer that feels straightforward for the employer and more personal for the employee.
WHAT EMPLOYEES MAY BE CARRYING
Work and life are not neatly separate. Counselling can provide a confidential place to think when pressures begin affecting wellbeing, attendance, confidence or the ability to function at work.
When workload, pressure or prolonged strain begins to affect energy, sleep, motivation or capacity.
Support for worry, overwhelm, panic, uncertainty and the impact anxiety can have on day-to-day work.
Bereavement, separation, caring responsibilities, illness, family difficulties and significant personal change.
A confidential space to think about conflict, patterns in relationships and difficulties affecting wellbeing.
Support when self-doubt, workplace experiences or life circumstances begin to affect confidence.
Earlier access to support when emotional strain is beginning to affect attendance, concentration or performance.
THOUGHTFUL MATCHING
Employees are assessed before allocation. We consider what they are experiencing, what kind of support may be appropriate, whether particular experience is needed and who is available to work with them well.
Where it matters to the employee, culture, identity, faith, sexuality, gender, family, migration, class and other aspects of lived context can also be part of the matching conversation.
Every allocation is considered by The Ash, so the employee receives support appropriate to their needs rather than simply the next available appointment.
SIMPLE PRICING
One clear workplace counselling service, including assessment, thoughtful matching and clinically governed one-to-one support.
Tailored arrangements are available for organisations requiring ongoing or higher-volume support.
Talk to us about workplace support ↗︎WHY THE ASH
We consider therapeutic need, presenting concerns, experience required and the wider context of the employee’s life.
Employees should be able to bring culture, identity and lived context into therapy without having to explain away important parts of themselves.
The Ash provides clinical oversight, supervision, safeguarding processes and quality expectations around the therapeutic work.
We aim to keep access human and straightforward, reducing unnecessary barriers for employees and employers.
FOR EMPLOYEES WHO MAY NOT ENGAGE WITH TRADITIONAL EAPS
Some employees never use the support already available to them. They may be unsure about confidentiality, feel disconnected from a large or impersonal service, struggle with complicated access routes, or worry that the therapist they meet will not understand their context.
The Ash approach is intentionally human: a clear route in, assessment before allocation, thoughtful matching and counselling held within a professionally governed service.
HOW IT WORKS
Tell us what support your organisation needs and how you would like employees to access it.
Employees are referred or use the agreed route into The Ash Workplace Counselling Service.
We assess the employee and thoughtfully identify an appropriate counsellor.
Confidential online sessions begin with appropriate clinical governance, safeguarding and support.
Appropriate anonymised utilisation or engagement information can be provided without compromising counselling confidentiality.
CONFIDENTIALITY MATTERS
Employees are more likely to use workplace counselling when they understand its boundaries. The therapeutic relationship is confidential, subject to the usual safeguarding and legal limits.
We do not provide employers with the private content of counselling sessions. Any organisational reporting is agreed in advance and kept appropriate, proportionate and anonymised where relevant.
